In Audio Converter Pro, when a file is selected in the conversion list, an additional panel shows up as "Selected File".
This panel gives you additional editing options, which are not available in standard Audio Converter.
Preview: Click the Preview button to bring up the preview window for the selected file.
If the input file is a video, the preview shows the video.
If the input file is an audio file, the preview window simply shows the time bar and playback buttons.
Within the preview window, you can trim the file by setting the start point and end point. The "Start", "End", and "Audio" settings are duplicated in the "Selected File" panel.
Start: Start conversion at this timestamp. You can use the start time to trim the beginning of the file.
End: Stop conversion at this timestamp. You can use the end time to trim the end of the file.
Audio: Some files may contain multiple audio tracks. This usually happens with MKV and OGM files. Use "Audio" to select the audio track.
Back to the "Selected File" panel, there is also the additional "Tags" button, which brings up the Tags Editor.
ID3 tags are supported in MP3, WMA, MOV and MP4 (M4A or M4B) files. If the input file is one of those file types, the tags are retrieved and this dialog is populated. You can add, remove or modify existing tags.
Keep in mind, the tags are only written to MP3, WMA, MOV or MP4 files. If your output format is not one of those file types, the tags are ignored.
