"Record to" Panel

The "Record To" panel contains the file options for saving the recorded file.

Note, when a valid output file path is not specified, the "Record to" text is displayed in the red color.

Click on toggle to expand the panel.

You can type in the file path directly in the edit field, or use the buttons. There are three buttons next to the file path edit box.

Browse
button_browse
Browse for the file using the standard Windows file dialog.

Explore
button_explore
If you already have a file name in the edit box, click on this button to open the parent directory in Windows explorer.

Play
button_play
If you already have a file name in the edit box, click on this button to play the file in the default media player.

 
 
Check Automatically add date and time to the file time if you want to auto-name the recorded file without worrying about overwriting existing recordings.
 
Additional settings under "If file exists:" provides you with options when the file already exists.

Prompt whether to replace
The software will ask for your permission to replace the file at recording time.

Overwrite existing file
The existing file is replaced automatically.

Rename the output file automatically
If the file already exists, a new file will be created with a number added to the file name.
