Connect a microphone into the microphone port of your computer. There should be a little microphone icon next to the port.
Click on 
to the left of "Record from:". You will see the panel expanded.
Please make sure the "Audio Device" combo box shows your sound card, and the "Port" combo box shows "Microphone". Some systems may use a different word for microphone, for example, "Mic".
